From the mind of Alan Moore

(Watchmen, V For Vendetta, From Hell)

and director Mitch Jenkins…

Show Pieces is a collection of short films which tell the first part of an extensive new story written by Alan Moore and directed by Mitch Jenkins.

“Resembles David Lynch’s weirder moments with the odd dash of Ben Wheatley’s nightmarish Kill List thrown in for good measure.”

About the Project

Show Pieces is Alan Moore’s first work written specifically for the screen and made with his ongoing creative involvement. It is directed by his friend and long term collaborator Mitch Jenkins. The films were shot in London and Northampton, and star Siobhan Hewlett (Sherlock, Torchwood), Darrell D’Silva (RSC, Dirty Pretty Things) and Andrew Buckley (Wallander). Show Pieces exists within a wider project – The Show – a richly detailed, multi-episode, non-linear narrative world.

About The Authors

Alan Moore

Widely credited with having transformed the comic book in works such as Lost Girls, From Hell, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen and a dozen others, Alan Moore is author of the novel Voice of the Fire along with the forthcoming Jerusalem; is a filmmaker, recording artist and performer; and is internationally regarded as one of the most important post-war English writers.

Mitch Jenkins

Photographer and director Mitch Jenkins is a visual storyteller who specialises in filmic, narrative-driven work. His experience on huge productions — handling talent and directing large crews — is combined with an artistic voice that is given free rein in his eccentric personal projects.

Mitch has a longstanding relationship with Alan Moore, with whom he has collaborated on the film project The Show. The ongoing partnership is built on the pair’s complementary skill-sets, shared artistic vision and mutual love of Northampton.
